“Fantastic and enjoyable!”

Hillary is just superb! She's done two virtual walking tours for the residents of a senior living community in Chicago and I had the privilege to watch and learn with our residents. As most of us know by now, doing things virtually is almost always harder than in person, but Hillary had such a smooth, conversational style, excellent pacing and such a mastery of her subject matter, that I felt like we were with her in person. I've lived here 31 years and been on several architecture tours over the years (by boat and foot), this was the best.

“A MUST Do!”

See sights that the rest of the crowds are missing! This is the tour you didn't know you needed. Go inside buildings you'd never guess are publicly accessible and see interiors that will literally take your breath away. Words don't do justice to the beauty of the interiors visited during this tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone over any other popular architecture tour. We had a Chicago resident in our group that was just as wowed as the tourists — a true testament to how unique and "off the beaten path" this tour is.

“A Chicago Highlight”

AMAZING tour!! Can't recommend Hillary highly enough. She is a true professional and knows her stuff. This was a true highlight of my Chicago visit. Loved seeing the inside of some of these beautiful buildings. I did another walking tour with a different company and there was no comparison. Go with the best—Hilary and Inside Chicago Walking Tour s. I learned so much and I enjoyed the visual feast!

“Seeing Chicago from a Different Perspective”

This is my third walking tour with Inside Chicago. Each tour has been wonderful with a different emphasis each time. The information provided as well as the buildings visited are just amazing.

Inside Chicago Walking Tours offers a very unique perspective on Chicago and its architecture. Whether you're new to the city or you've lived here forever, this is a tour you should go see!  Hillary was amazing! And I've raved to anyone and everyone about her tour since I've taken it. Her knowledge base is astounding. You will learn so much about Chicago's history and the buildings you will visit, but the information is never dry. Hillary makes her tours interactive and fun. The entertainment value is great! Her tour will leave you with a thirst for exploration and an appreciation for details that might otherwise be overlooked.

“Do not miss this one”

We took several walking tours whilst in Chicago but this was far better than any other we had experienced over the few weeks we were there. Adam was a delightful mine of information with fabulous little stories about the buildings he obviously loves. We learnt more from him on our walk than with other tours and it was FUN! If you only do one architectural tour in this city it would have to be this one. Thank you, Adam, for bringing the wonderful buildings of Chicago to life.

“Interesting and Professional”

She drew our attention to architectural details and put them in context, told us the story of the buildings and interesting anecdotes. Also, I feel like she taught us to understand what buildings were worth visiting: when the tour ended I kept wandering for couple hours and discovered a lot of beautiful halls by myself, following her clues. 

“The World Within: Dazzling Interiors of the Loop”

This was an outstanding tour! Our guide, Hillary, was so knowledgeable and entertaining. She took inside buildings we'd normally just walk past and we saw the most amazing spaces, but the best part was how she explained WHAT we were seeing. We will definitely take other Inside Chicago Walking Tours and definitely recommend this one! Even if you live and work in the Loop -- maybe especially if you do—you should take this tour!

“Fabulous walking tour of Chicago”

You couldn't find a more knowledgeable tour guide who presents the information in an easy, conversational style. Hillary took us on a visually stimulating and interesting tour through the west part of the city while sharing stories of the people who lived and worked there. Her easy-going manner made all of us feel comfortable on this 2-mile walk. I would highly recommend any Inside Chicago tour.

“Superb walking tour”

Hillary leads these fascinating tours where she introduces Chicago's landmarks in story form. She shapes her tours around her group's interests and gives you the whole story of the city's history, architecture and famous people. I highly recommend any tour she leads and I will look her up on my next visit to Chicago.
