Let Inside Chicago Walking Tours take you on an enchanting stroll through the heart of the city, enjoying the lakefront architecture and city lights at its prettiest time — dusk. On this "architecture lite" tour, we stay very close to the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, weaving our way through secret spots and hidden vistas that one can only discover on foot!
Company owner and tour guide, Hillary, has chosen and arranged her favorite evening spots in downtown Chicago to show you how gorgeous her city is at night. We will simply slow down from the day, and enjoy all that summer evenings in Chicago have to offer: free concerts at Millennium Park (and a brief stop to allow guests to purchase wine to enjoy during the concert!); beautiful fireworks visible from all along the lake; gorgeous architecture at night; the peace and quiet of the parks after dark, sometimes flooded with lightning bugs… It’s a totally different way to experience the city.
In keeping with the rest of Inside Chicago Walking Tours’ tour offerings, we’ll also see one stunning interior space on this mostly outdoor tour. Hillary has chosen to show this particular building — one of her personal favorites! — on this tour as it fits perfectly with this tour’s theme due to its subtle and effective play with light and city materials. Which building? Well, we’re going to keep that a surprise for our guests...

30 (General Admission); 25 (children 5 and up, and seniors 65 and up); free for kids 4 and under.
How long is it?
This tour lasts about 2.5 hours, covering around 1.5 miles on foot.
Do we go inside buildings?
Absolutely! That's kind of our thing. This tour is mostly outdoors (where the beautiful lights are!), though we do visit one building’s interior as it’s pertinent to the tour’s theme.
How many people in the group?
We will be capping this tour route at 15 guests.
When is this tour offered?

Where does this tour start & end?
We start just north of Millennium Park. You will receive the tour's exact starting address upon ticket purchase. We end near Buckingham Fountain.
What about rain?
Unlike our usual interiors-focused tours, this particular tour route is usually cancelled/refunded in case of rain.
